Have A Go Archery

24th & 31st July, 7th, 14th & 21st August, 11am – 4pm.

Join us to practice your archery skills overlooking the ancient Roman Fort of Magna at this family-friendly event. Aim for the high score on the target as you have a go at shooting a bow and arrow. Can you be as accurate as the Roman soldiers would have been?

Magna Fort, at the site of the Roman Army Museum, was home to a cohort of Hamian archers arriving in Britannia from Syria. Colour in your own Hamian archer as you learn more about the diverse cohorts who were stationed on Hadrian’s Wall.
