Hadrian’s Wall Live!
24th November, 9:30 – 10am
Join Hadrian’s Wall Learning and Engagement Forum for a day of virtual activities themed around Hadrian’s Wall.
Take part in live workshops and discover more about the various sites across the Wall.
In this session with the Vindolanda Trust, you will learn about the Roman fort of Magna, built along the line of Hadrian’s Wall, and discover what daily life was really like for the soldiers stationed there. Where in the Roman Empire did they come from, and what daily duties did they have to complete in the fort? Along the way, you’ll learn about real objects from the collection, earn Roman coin (denarii) for every right answer, and find out what your coins could buy you at the fort at the end! Suitable for all KS2 year groups, but better for year 3 and 4.
