Join us at the Roman Army Museum for a weekend that will tickle your taste buds! Renowned historic chef John Crouch will be back at the Roman Army Museum demonstrating ancient Roman cooking, in collaboration with the Comfrey Project.

Roman Army Summer School

Join the Roman Army – gear up with your unit and learn how to march like a Roman soldier, do some formations and scare the enemy! Learn about what life was like for a new recruit and decide whether you would join the Roman Army.

Join us and our museum bears for the ultimate Teddy Bears Picnic. Dress your teddy bear up as a Roman Emperor. Help Emperor Ted find the items in the museum to lead the Roman Army to victory.

Marcus the Medicus – Battlefield Medicine

Excavations at the Roman fort of Magna part of the Roman Army Museum. 2024’s excavations will take a closer look at the Vallum of Hadrian’s Wall and it’s course around the fort.
