Merry Making: Wreath Making Workshop

29th & 30th November, 10am – 12noon & 1pm – 3pm

This event is suitable for ages 16+. Booking closes at 4pm (GMT) on the 21st November 2025.
 
Create your own living wreath to take home, inspired by ancient Roman winter traditions, with this hands-on workshop at the Roman Army Museum. During the Ancient Roman festival of Saturnalia, the Romans would decorate their houses with foliage, much like we do today.
 
This workshop is designed for people aged 16 and over. All materials and tools will be provided as you are guided through how to make your very own foliage wreath. Includes a glass of non-alcoholic mulled wine and a mince pie.

The Roman Army Museum will be open from 9:30am – 4pm so please do take the time to explore.
